Perhaps it's because like you I am "a lifelong outcast and outsider." I even named my affiliate (now ex-affiliate) CrossFit MisFit to reflect that aspect of myself. Also, I wanted to appeal to others who didn't quite fit in themselves and thought the name would be fun and less intimidating. The name turned out to be quite prophetic in retrospect.
