Got the swine flu shot yesterday. Felt like "you know what" all day today...I took a power nap in my car and got a "red-line" energy drink to get myself going.

Deads
265x3
305x3
335x11
(last 2 reset grip)

Front Squat
155x3
175x3
195x9
(kept getting my trachaea crushed and I was getting dizzy..so I racked b/f I passed out)

Afterwards felt kinda crappy and weak...that H1/N1 shot really jacked me up.

I'm glad I trained though.

Weird, I got the H1N1 and trained right after, did my DL's and that was all I could manage. Felt like I was going to yak all over the gym if I kept on going.

Got to love the mandatory shots.....

2mile run...1st mile (lsd) 2nd mile fast pace.

I have my PFT on Tuesday so I wanted to loosen up a bit. My back was pretty tight throughout this run...the deads from yesterday more than likely.

My toe was sore too...seems like my foot hasn't totally healed...

25 pushups - 25 body squats - 10 HSPU - 25 crunches
800m Run

Press
120x5
135x3
150x8

Squat

Ran a 400 then called it a day.

My PFT is next Wed now...which is awesome cause its' during my "deload" week.

I want to improve my 3mile time from last year...I believe I ran a 21:05-21:15???

My goal is to get sub 21:00-20:30....I'm 10lbs heavier than last year...and my foot has been injured since April...we'll see.

Wanted to get all my lifts done and out of the way so I can focus on my PFT for next week.

Front Squat
175x5
200x3
220x6
(internal issues on this last set)

Deads
280x5
315x3
355x8
(last 2 were the ugliest pulls I've ever done imo.

Muscle up + 10 pushups on pullup bar x 2

We had the "don't ask don't tell" meeting today on base. Apparently these focus groups are going on all over the place.

Did the following workout b/f:

Decending handstand pushups starting at 10 going down (1)
Ascending dead-hang pullups starting at 2 going up by (2)

Did 45 total HSPUs and 42 total pull-ups.

Not a bad session, would've did the whole ladder if time permitted.

100526

Was going to run this morning, but got only 6hrs of sleep.

Afternoon decided to go and get it done.

3miles on a 400m track (I felt I gave it about 75-80%)

23:45

My lungs felt like they could go a lot harder...so cardio wise I was good...but my back was sooo dog on tight from deads/front squats yesterday...that the last mile was painful.

So hopefully by next Wed...the doms will be gone and I can get a good time.

Afterwards hit the heavy bag and did 50 situps.

Internal issues on front squats?

We had a health fare on base today...after our "101 days of summer safety standown"..

Anyways they had a hummvee pull and I tried that out....wow I suck at strongman stuff....haha

I gave it (2) tries and moved it a few yards, but couldn't get to the other side
15yd away.

I noticed that the marines who had some "size" on them pulled it pretty well...cue in 70's big. I'm 10lbs heavier than last year..so I'm coming along....

After a meal and some job work I did the following session:

Snatch
45x5
65x3
115x3
135x3
155x1
165x1 (PR)
175x1 (Bailed)
175x1 (Bailed)

I was intimidated to get under 175 for some reason. The pull was high and all I had to do was get under it...but I bailed on both.

Cleans
135x5
185x3 (w/ (1) jerk)
225x3 (w/ (1) jerk)

Felt pretty beat up today. Don't know if it was from the run yesterday or trying to pull that hummvee. Going to rest a lot this weekend.
