Since when did Dutch Lowy stop doing CrossFit or stop being associated with CrossFit? Anyone know why?

Dutch has been mainly into OlympicLifting for himself a year or two now. I think he still does work with some CF gyms to some extent as for consulting, etc.

Thanks Blair, I was just thinking that "I haven't heard much of Dutch lately" and wondered what he's been up to.

In looking at a lot of ReeBok CrossFit 2012 12.1 WODs, I don't think the numbers they are getting are legit. They probably shouldn't have counted many reps.

For example, I've watched a lot of videos (a representative sample attached - happens to be a fellow who broke his collar bone doing Fran a year or so ago by falling backwards off the bar doing a "pullup"), and invariably about halfway through, their pushup portion of the burpee really degrades.

I guess just inevitable "acceptable slop" once any movement gets sped up?

Blair is right, Dutch decided to concentrate on Olympic lifting and now he does seminars and runs the gym Black Box Fort Worth. I think he may have drifted away from CF after the Black Box Summit incident.

Actually I think the idea is kind of fun, although I think it's a little odd to make your marriage all about CF. But by far the worst thing is that godawful orange shirt the groom is wearing.
