Default Technical advice - videos included

Just hoping for some good critiques on my lifts.

Greg, you actually sent me some really good notes about a year ago and I've been working hard at making the corrections and cleaning up my movements. Used to jump way forward on both lifts with no contact to the bar. Theses videos are both misses ( I hit the snatch right after this but didn't film it). I trimmed them to just show the pulls and the move under the bar. Need to work on leg strength to hit these weights consistently.

So any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

Quick and simple bc I'm on my phone -

Snatch - you need to stay back and open up more on the pull. Get the bar up at high thigh and jump through the heels, getting your shoulders behind your hips at the top of the pull.

Clean - more legs to finish the pull. You're putting just barely enough on the bar to sneak under it.

I can power clean way more than I can squat at the moment. Squatting more to fix that. So I wasn't pulling has much as I needed on that clean. Sounds like I need to work pulls and high snatch pulls and focus on staying back with full extension. Does that sound right? Any other drills? Thanks again Greg!

Don't change the mechanics of the pull because of that, though. With very light weights, you'll need to reduce the force you put into it, but the movement should never change.

The main thing it sounds like you need to work on is getting your squat up. Pulls are fine, but honestly you can't extend on a pull the way you can in a snatch. Clean pulls will be more helpful for the clean than sn pulls for the sn for that reason.
