Guy at the gym let me use his slingshot today, big difference in the way bench felt using the slingshot. I could really feel my lats benching pretty cool, not cool that despite my best self coaching efforts I can't seem to keep my elbows in.

Update:

I wont be able to do the meet in December, Army Reserve duty is that weekend and my CDR won't let me miss drill.

The PL'er that is getting the meet together said he is planning to set another one up next spring, if this meet in December has enough people. So I will shoot for spring.

Right now I'm still doing 5/3/1 but still running, I only just barely passed the run this past weekend only running every other week just doesn't cut it for me.

I would make that decision based on how easily it is for you to gain vs lose weight. I'm not a big fan of dropping wt classes because for most people it doesn't work nearly as well as they think it will. But there are people out there who are very adept at cutting and can do it without sacrificing much in the way of performance.
