Default Tell me about Myostatin

Listening to NPR, heard a snippet about "mighty mouse" (using Myostatin inhibitors to combat muscle wasting diseases). Which led me on a search and I found this article:

http://www.sciencentral.com/articles...392292&cat=1_2

Has there been any studies on dieting/lifestyle that can linked to regulating Myostatin?

While I don't know much about Myostatin, this article brings up an interesting debate. . . should there be testing for those people who might have the 'genetic mutation' and their bodies produce less Myostatin?

Jeremy,

The information is out there in the bona fide scientific rags.

Lot of research happening in the labs on the topic, including on some rather large pharmaceutical companies. Ahem... wink, you did not hear that from me.

Myostatin is a side topic of a PM piece I did this month.

dude. I am so 'in the loop' and 'cutting edge' it scares me.

I did do some googlifying and found some more info. I would still like an easy answer (like "eat more rutabega and stand on your head twice a week" you know. . . the usual).
