Will probiotics (sp?) make you poop...alot?
So I started taking some probiotics and I am pooping like a goose. I have not found anything here that might explain the effects of probiotics (other than promotes good digestion) unless I am digesting food quicker and getting rid of it just as fast. Is this a common thing or could it something else? I did eat some blue berries lately.
On a side note...How long does it take for nutirents (good and bad) to enter the blood stream?
Nothing like potty talk, reminds me of when my kids were still in diapers.

Joe,
What I've noticed with patients is that when they start probiotics (and it's something they have been in need of for a while), their BM frequency tends to swing to the other side of the pendulum. Constipation will go to frequent and looser, diarrhea will go towards what those used to it seems like mildly constipated.
Over time, nearly all of them have their pendulum swinging "reduce", as in they come towards what most regard as normal in consistency and frequency.

Probiotics have become pretty much the only must have supplement for myself. I notice a considerable benefit with bowl and immune functions while taking them.

Yes you will poop...but it will even out. Think of it as finally cleaning out your dirty gym locker from HIgh school....some nasty stuff may come out...but it should be ok after a while.

I use In Liven. The bacteria are a super colony because they stressed to be resistant to harmful conditions that they may encounter while trying to get to your colon ( ie. Chlorine, fluoride, extreme acidic conditions). They bacteria are mixed with 26 certified organic superfoods (so they are fermented superfoods & the bacteria are fed and happy).
I have tried many other brands of probiotics for our patients and I find In Liven to be far superior, so I sell it....

The only probiotic I have people use is the Essential Formulas Probiotics 12 Plus *Professional Formula*. There is a "regular" formula, I do believe (and patients have told me) that the professional version is stronger/better. Probiotic-based products is all that Essential Formulas does.
The professional formula is cultured for 5 years (regular for 3 years), no refrigeration necessary, and each pill is individually blister sealed. I joke that the probiotics I use are cultured/fermented longer than the wine most people drink is.
If anyone wants some, PM me.
