Delaney's First 4 on 4 Soccer Game
In fairness to my wonderful daughter we have to share her first 4 on 4 soccer game. She played at the YMCA last year in the 3 - 5 division. This year she is playing at Stetson University in a 4 on 4 league with 6 and 7 year olds. She turns 6 this coming up week.
She played her heart out last night and I am very proud of her. She was in there banging with the bigger kids. She also ran faster than I have ever seen her run.
I had to mute the audio on the video as I am losing my mind when she scores her first goal. I sounded like the hispanic announcers calling the World Cup. GOOOOOAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet.
The music on the video was to get me back for the "It's a small world thing" isn't it? Now I'm going to have this song in my head all day.

Nope the music was my darling little girls choice. I haven't even tried yet to get you back for the it's a small world song. I was actually planning on waiting till we were working out again and I was going to start singing the Barney theme song.

I was cheering for people I had not met until that day, eating lunch with a total stranger, bonded only by CrossFit until that moment. It was awesome to be able to workout with people focused on not only improving their own lives, but the lives of others.
On the other hand though, I didnt think Barney was still popular with kids. I was sure it was all Dora today. OMG, this brings back memories from my kids +/-20 years

I don't know why this thread reminds me on the Seinfeld episode when Kramer was the top in his karate class.....but it was a class of all kids he just manhandled.....no idea why....probably because now whenever i see some kids sports I think "Yeah....I could just go out there and score a ton!"....but it's funny....damn Seinfeld...ruined my life....
Oh yeah...nice job on the goal!

My son played four year old soccer last summer - there were 20 kids out there, maybe 5 even knew there was a ball. The rest were walking around holding hands, or with their jerseys over their heads.
Here's my little guy after getting on skates for the first time three months earlier. He's 4 playing against 7 year olds.

I've got him on the MOD Power Skating program. For some reason it's not helping.
BTW.. your daughter is adorable and seems to have no fear. Can't teach that.

Is that where you tie a Guinness bottle to a stick, attach it to the helmet and let it stick out in front just out of arm's reach? Improved my speed dramatically....maybe he needs some other incentive hanging out in front, like an X-box....but if he was a REAL Canadian...he'd go after the beer....after all the drinking age is like 7 up there right?
