So I am supposed to record 8 hours to find the one sport I want? This is the one time every 4 years I might get to see WL on tv and instead I'll be watching on the web.
It would be nice if we could get more details.

John,
The WL is probably spread out throughout the 8 hours (or at least over a couple hours of that time slot), as the network is more interested in keeping their ADD audience attached rather than satisfying a sport's true fan base (you know, the ones who watch more often than every four years...).

last olympics I was working a night job, so I watched a lot of daytime events. this is what got me into WL, watching multiple sessions. generally it was in 30min blocks. women, men, days of it.
i know somewhere in there there's one (or maybe more!) blocks that I want. Somewhere...

This page has a bit more detail.
It turns out that since I don't have cable, I'll only get to see one women's weight class compete. The rest are on stations I don't have. Does anyone know a place where you can watch them online? One session of weightlifting, but loads of women's beach volleyball all on NBC... Wonder how that happened...

I haven't got a tv so I'm just watching the highlights on the BBC website.

Edit: The schedule of events on the BBC's site is in BST (British Summer Time).

Here's the be all and end all:

Watch the full events, without inane commentary or human interest stories (although I'll be there all choked up for the Melanie Roach broadcast tomorrow)..

48kg womens. Xiexia Chen talking a stroll through the competition. Shame she was so conservative on the weights -- she lifted an Olympic record c&j like like it was light practice.
