Default Protein Powder/BCAA

ive listen a lot to Ori Hofmekler(Warrior Diet) and it seems like he knows what hes talking about. He is then saying that all protein powders today except for his own and 100 pure whey is rubbish. Is this true? like regular Whey protein etc. etc. also if you want to switch protein poweder with bcaa, how much is enough? how much g of bcaa to cover 20-30g protein?

Yeah....most anyone wanting to sell something usually says that.

Most protein powders are garbage, you'd be better off with BCAAs and you usually only need like 10g/day. If your goal was mass gain then maybe you could add in protein powder in milk WITH meals....never as a replacement. Whole foods before supplements. Technically the best protein is the cheaper form of whey/casein as you want the slowest absorption possible for all day muscle building.....that is if you are not buying into the super quick absorption that you need pwo...which is BB mentality and debunked many times over.

thank you. For me who just want to keep my muscles and dont gain any, just loose ALOT of fat. Is training on empty stomach ok? and pwo i can wait 1 hour and then eat maybe a little protein and carb?

Training on a completely empty stomach doesn't go well for me- I get all shaky and find it hard to hold bars, jump on boxes, etc. I usually workout after work. Lunch around noon, snack around 3:00 (2 block) and maybe another quick bite before a wod. Then protein for my recovery.

fasted 18 hours ---empty stomach and set a PR in the gym today DL 365 Raw X6 (pause n go)

And i weight 168

at 150, I fast for 15 hours overnight and workout hard as I want first thing every morning with no breakfast!

It feels totally great. I then eat all day.

If I waited until after work to exercise I could do very little. Just too tired after work to do anything but go for a walk.
