Default fastest path to 100 pushups?

So...what do you think? I can maybe get 50 right now. What have you tried that seemed to work well? I know grease the groove is popular but wonder if I can keep doing overhead pressing while doing that.

What do you want to be able to do 100 push-ups for?

Crossfitting for a long period of time (Cindys, Chelseas, Tabata something else in particular) seems to do the trick. Months of pretty dedicated Crossfit and I could do 93. Nowadays, 60ish.

Tabata pushups once a week will go a long way.

Do it just like getting faster at a mile run - break it up into intervals. 25x4s, 33x3s, 10x10s, all sorts of things. That is how I got 100 anyways.

density format is an easy way to reach rep PR.s. I had buddy worked up from 20 a 100 by watching the simpsons every day and getting as many PU as possible in the half hour, lot of sets of 10-15 mostly.

Hi James

Just one of those goals. I want 100 push ups, 100 sit ups and then run 1.5 miles in under 9:00 for my next Navy PRT. I am headed to San Diego to take over a survival training school and want to set the bar high for my troops. Sit ups and run are no problem but have not done 100 pushups yet.
