Default A funny thing... "Healthier, stronger people."

Lately, I've noticed that whenever I'm talking with people about fitness, I end up pairing the words "health" and "strength" a lot, like in the thread title. There are a lot of words that are often paired in the fitness industry: "weights and cardio," "strength and conditioning," "health and fitness," "slimming and toning," etc.

It's time that "health and strength" gets on that list.

Just thought it'd be nice to share.

That's a good, and I think overlooked point.

And oddly enough, I received an email today where someone said this:

Quote:
Training he doesn't need, but he does need to get his hands on some missing Strength & Health articles for a book he is writing. Last word (which goes slowly because he communicates almost entirely by US mail) he was not able to get them through Hinbern. Any chance that a guy that who is bizarre enough to train the bent press also has a collection of S&H? Let me know if you do.

[emphasis mine]
So, apparently, there was a bimonthly magazine that went by that title, from what seems to be the 1940's to 1970's, though that may be wrong. I did a brief search online and found references to at least those decades.

Talk about coincidences.

I don't like it when people imply, even in an off-hand, incidental, or accidental way, that I'm a liar.

Probably someone who didn't post. I agree with you Patrick, strong and healthy are too words that should be going together. Too often people think marathon runners and Tour De France riders (yes I used them as an example) are healthy. They aren't. They are insane.
