Default Our Gym

This has been a banner week as far as gym improvements goes. Recently we moved into a our new place.

One of the requirements, actually the only requirement that I had, was to have a 3 car garage to house my gym space. I got much more than I bargained for, the space is 9 x 25!

My stuff was setup outside for years and that was ok but the space I've got now opens up a lot of possibilities.

Back to recent developments. This weekend I finished the new pullup bar station you can see on the back wall. In addition I hung the rings and the rope. I'm also putting the finishing touches on a set of parallettes.

My future wish list is: Evap cooler for triple digit temps, horse stall mats, another bar, more bumpers, a C2, plyo boxes, maybe some climbing wall stuff, LCD TV permanently mounted to the wall and tuned to sports and some squat stands.

Routine is the enemy of staying interested in being fit.

I got the ideas for this stuff all from others. Many thanks!

Good stuff.

If you think you're ever going to want to paint the place, I highly recommend that you do it now, before the garage is full of gear. Also, floor epoxy is not worth the money; it scratches easily and doesn't like water or dirt (which can come in force when it storms). If you want a floor coating, just go with rubber mats all over the place.

Re-painting the place other than the current color of white is not a priority for us. Having some motivational stuff on the walls might be in order though. For the floors, as I mentioned, we plan on putting down horse stall mats. Once I figure out exactly where I want to put a platform then we'll know what to do about the mats. It'll take some time, we're good for now.

Nice!

We are getting a place soon with a 2 car garage so I can't wait to start my own little area!
