Nothing new this month except reinforcements to what we already know about high protein diets and weight loss. Of course, Dr. Cordain backs up his claims with research and science better than anyone out there.
More looking forward to next months newsletter on Grass-fed meat. Recently ordered 50 lbs of 75% ground meat from US Wellness so curious to hear what Dr. Cordain has to say. hopefully nothing negative

Steve - How much did you pay/lb for that beef?

I thought the US Wellness beef was 85% lean. I've gotten used to it and now love it. It's funny: at first, I thought it tasted funny and preferred regular beef. But now, I like the fact that it's not sweet. My wife and kids think it's crazy but I eat it for breakfast now.

Ha same here Elliot. Tastes great mixed up with some eggs, grass-fed butter, red onions and fire roasted balsalmic butter sauce veggies from TJ's. I can eat it 2-3 times a day and not get tired of it. Wife thinks I'm nuts of course.
I can't tell you how good the grass-fed meat is with those veggies I mentioned above from Trader Joe's. I cook up two packets of frozen meat (think about 2lbs in total) and mix in a packet of those veggies. The taste is awesome! Been doing it that way for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Gotta try it.
Craig,
The last order I placed for 25lbs (not 50lbs...my mistake) of 75% lean grass-fed ground meat was $102.50. So that comes to about $4.00/lb.
For taste and quality...you really can't beat it.

Steve - Have you ever ordered from Tallgrass Beef Company? Right now you can get 25lbs of ground for $80, about $3.20/lb.

US Wellness has both 75% (~$4/lb.) and 87% (~$5/lb.) lean.

I do have to say that I like US Wellness. My first shipment had some tainted beef in it. They didn't argue. They just replaced the entire 50lbs of hamburger by air freight and picked up the old beef some days later. Must have cost them quite a bit in air freight but they didn't care.
