Default Steve training dips on the front page...

This was a cool picture, as I hadn't seen any other pictures from Catalyst of people training dips or chest.

Is this something that you guys do frequently? How often?

How do you rotate it into the training schedule?

I really like dips, although I don't use them super often with lifters. When I do "strength" emphasis cycles, particularly if I have an athlete who needs to gain some weight, I might use them - in the case of this photo, Steve was doing presses and dips during a 6-week cycle. But more often I'll use barbell lifts simply for the sake of specificity. For a generalist or other athlete, I think they're a great exercise as along as the athlete is adequately flexible and doesn't have any underlying shoulder problems that need to be addressed first.
