For some reason I have this jump and land cue in my head. I think this is part of my problem getting under the bar and catching low enough. Are there other better mental images? Jump and squat maybe?
think of the final explosion of the hips and knees as part of the effort to get under the bar - i.e. you're only exploding the bar up so you can pop the hips back into the squat and pull down against the bar. it should be all a single fluid movement.
