Default question from a beginner

Hello
I am new to olympic lifting and.was wondering i olympic.plates can be used insead of bumpers to learn the lifts?

The only concern is dropping them - so if you're careful, there's no reason you can't do the lifts with iron plates.

I have ordred your book and dvd and am ready to get started.

I am 52 yo and really want to.learn the olympic lifts. I am happy to find this .website.
