Default what foods to limit

I read that paleo dieters, if they want to lose weight, should limit their
nuts to 6 oz a day and limit their fruit intake. What are other people's
experiences with this? I'm finding it hard to snack on veggies, what
with peas and green beans not allowed. Also, I'm raw carroted out,
I ate way too many of them about six months ago and I can't do it anymore.

Cassi-
Can you post a couple days of food intake? It's tough to give recommendations without seeing the whole picture.

The nuts need to be limited as it is easy to down 1,000cals in nuts in nothing flat. Fruit may be problematic if insulin sensitivity is a factor. I have to really limit my fruit intake and oddly enough feel better with yams/sweet potatoes if I keep the amounts pretty reasonable.

If body comp improvement is the goal protein and greens at every meal is the way to go. Variety will come from spices, seasonal veggies and different cooking methods.

aren't yams/sweet potatoes forbidden fruits?
