I have been following the programming for a while now and the soreness in my hips has seemed to catch up to me. I can't get them to loosen up, even after taking 2 days rest they seemed worse. Any suggestions on a way to loosen them up? Should I take a week off or something along those lines?

Michael -2 days of rest? What about stretching, hydrotherapy, properly warming-up, etc? Based on your description (or lack thereof), I really don't have much advice other than the basic - spend more time warming up before training; stretch during training; stretch after training; foam roll all day long; ice, ice, ice. Hot tub/hot bath. Contrast. And go see a pro if you're experiencing actual pain.
