Since you're up on the latest in nutrition, is there any special combo of things to eat or stay away from before Saturday's PR attempts?
Greg Everett 2007-11-19
Assming bodyweight isn't an issue, same thing you'd eat every other day, which should be generally Paleo-ish with maybe a slight increase in carbs to make up any glycogen deplenished during the metCons, which will be minimal. What I've been experimenting with is a caffeine taper... Basically no caffeine 1-2 weeks out, then have some day of the meet/lift day with the idea that it gives the system a chance to recover from any accumulated systemic fatigue a bit and improves caffeine sensitivity.

Tried to keep things crisp. At this weight they were both power versions of the lifts which I caught as high as possible and rode down. Things felt good. Can't wait for PR attempts on Saturday.
