Easy Way to Find Your Snatch or Clean Starting Position


If you can't figure out a good starting position for your snatch or clean, give this a shot.

Deadlift a light weight up to the top, find that even whole foot pressure, and come down really slowly.

Once you get below the knee, find that posture that naturally makes the bar hang right close to your shins without dragging. If your hips are too high and your shoulders are too far forward, the bar will swing away.

If your hips are too low and your shoulders too far back, the bar is going to grind on your shins. So find that point right between,

Come down to the floor really slowly maintain that tension, and there's a good starting position for you
